Originally from the same region in Japan as baseball legend Shohei Ohtani, Naomi was raised with strong values of hard work, resilience, and respect for both people and the natural environment. Her diverse background includes working for an environmental non-profit organization, teaching English, and founding an English language school with her husband. Community engagement has always been integral to her identity, with a focus on volunteering for various causes in Japan and Canada. Naomi has also established a community group in Mount Albert, Ontario, called Mount Albert Sports and Rec., aimed at providing local youth with more opportunities to play basketball.
Outside of work, Naomi enjoys swimming, hiking, and expanding her knowledge of the law. She is also a passionate supporter of animal welfare, particularly for guinea pigs, and actively supports All Creatures Rescue.
